Welcome to our home. It is for sale as we are looking to move on to the next stage of our retirement.

This lovely brick veneered home has forty years of memories as it is where we raised our children; and our grandchildren are often here as well - so the home is full of laughter and fun.

The average house price in Tallangatta has increased more than 2 1/2 times since 2000 (information sourced from "Property trend 2006 - by Fisher Murphy Valuers) - and this will only increase as more and more people from Albury and Wodonga discover the advantages of living in Tallangatta (especially as the new freeway work has dramatically reduced the travel time to Albury).

A quick note about the photos - I am using a little point-and-shoot digital camera. The limitations of the technology are evident in some of the photos. Plus, you don't get a real idea of how big the rooms really are. So use this site for research, by all means, but then do come and have a look at the house. You will be very pleasantly surprised.

We bought this home in 1966, when it had a combustion stove and was very basic. We renovated in the 1970s and again in 2006. The most recent renovation brought a new kitchen and sparkling bathroom with quality fittings and appliances, and plenty of special features.
Our home has hosted many parties, especially when our children were teenagers; and for those who love entertaining, I can recommend a bit of vision being applied to the downstairs bedroom (bedroom 4), as this can very easily be converted into a rumpus and entertainment room, or even your own private movie theatre.
Every Aussie boy (and man) loves his shed, and my husband built this shed (garage) himself. He would come home from work and lay as many bricks as daylight and energy would allow. And bit by bit, his shed took shape. It has served him very well over the years, although my son is a mechanic and he uses it as his spare storage area too.
Our home has served us well for more than 40 years, but we don't need four bedrooms any more; we really need to NOT have four bedrooms to look after.
